As I'm sitting here in my chair
Everyone is asleep out there
I can feel the stillness in the air
Mixed with the music that's magic to hear

The canvas I've finished painting
I realise is staring at me
So i project into it like a dream-
To see what i can see
Then Suddenly it came
For in that painting is time and energy
An now in return it has given me
A powerful love for beauty.

Time's running short 'n I'm tired 'n worn
But my thoughts are just born
I know they cannot be taught
Nor can they be bought
For the powerful love i hold
The beauty that can be achieved
Can only be created

 Tears of happiness have filled my eyes

I can’t believe
I really can’t believe
The love you give to me
It’s more than I need
It’s overwhelming.

I just love what I do
And it’s me – for you
It’s never been a fashion
It’s my life’s passion
You put me on a pedestal
N’ make me feel tall
But this is just my call
I’m really not that smart at all

I’m just an artist
Nothing great
Nothing special
I just try my best
For all around is beauty
It’s endless for us to see
And if you see what I see
Well that’s great to me.

Sometimes I may need grace
For you to understand my case
But please don’t underestimate
 I truly do appreciate
For what’s behind my face
May not be your taste
But sometimes I cut the chase
N’ put it smack bang in your face.

Through my art I have laid

There are days I could cry
For how lucky am I
To do what I do until I die.
